- Modern first gains your Pro-E or compatible 3-D model.
- Modern submits revised model inclusive of required forge features for your approval. Once the model approval is issued from the customer the clock starts on our 4-week process.
- Modern launches proven concurrent design and manufacturing methodology, inclusive of customer's product team. Each new job is assigned to a Modern employee who coordinates all actions.
- Pre-staged prepared die sets are fixtured into high-speed machine and wire EDM work centers to rapidly complete tooling. Tooling is then quickly and accurately verified on a CMM.
- Finish and raw forging models are exchanged with internal or external machine sources to enable concurrent development of machine tool fixtures.
- Logistics coordinates tools, forging, finishing and Q.C. PPAP resources to eliminate any wasted "queue" time.
End result:
